Emma Whyte

I am a responsible, communicative leader and follower who is passionate about promoting team building in addition to training individuals. I am seeking to apply these qualities of mine as a Human Resources intern.

I have nearly five years of experience working as a Sales Associate and two years of working as a Key Holder within CM School Supply. I am familiar with training and mentoring employees as well as more technical skills such as using our store's Celerant Point-of-Sale system to process and invoice in-person and online pickup orders. I am excellent at taking initiative when it comes to what needs to be accomplished.

I am currently obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication at Cal Poly Pomona. This degree places emphasis on interpersonal and intercultural communication within the internal organizational processes of commercial companies, governmental, and educational organizations. Focuses on utilizing effective communication processes to address issues of diversity, ethics, technology, and globalization.

Skills such as public speaking, writing, argumentation, and conducting training and development processes are put into practice while learning these concepts. This past semester in my training and development course, I had the pleasure of being a project leader on creating a multicultural team building training. This project included creating a needs assessment and task analysis, then using these to form the training plans and the training slideshow presentation.
