I am currently a Senior Chief Operations Specialist in the U.S. Coast Guard. I have spent the last year as a Command Senior Enlisted Leader, dealing with personnel and HR management. I have over 6 years in personnel management, and four years' experience in instructing/curriculum development. I am also certified as a team leader/facilitator. I have over eight years of experience in Emergency management/Search and Rescue coordination. I will be retiring within the next few months and looking to use my skills and leadership in the civilian world.
As an Operations Specialist I have been at the forefront of communications and control for missions of the U.S. Coast Guard. I have been a Search and Rescue Coordinator, and Emergency Management specialist, as well as working as a communications specialist for maritime traffic. As a Chief, I have managed teams as well as departments conducting training, instruction, as well as handling personnel issues. I am currently serving as a Senior Enlisted Leader handling personnel coordination and HR for over 100 people.
I have a bachelor's degree in health and Sports Science. I am also certified through the Coast Guard as an instructor, curriculum design specialist, as well as a team lead/meeting facilitator. I am working towards certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
