Jessica Packer has over 15 years of experience teaching Social Studies and coaching in both middle and high school settings. She is currently teaching Honors Social Studies to seventh graders at KIPP Ujima in Baltimore, MD. Previously, she spent eight years at Ridgeland High School in Mississippi, where her U.S. History students consistently achieved top state proficiency ratings. She has also taught AP Psychology, African American Studies, Government, and World Geography.
Beyond the classroom, Jessica has played a significant role in student development and extracurricular activities. She has served as a head and assistant coach for multiple sports, including volleyball, basketball, tennis, track, and swimming. Her leadership has contributed to undefeated district championships, state playoff qualifications, and successful fundraising efforts.
Additionally, she has coordinated major school initiatives such as Black History Month programs, Senior Signing Day, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes events. With a strong background in curriculum planning, student mentorship, and fostering a dynamic school culture, she is eager to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to a high school setting in Baltimore.
