John Legy

I am a recently graduated bilingual phlebotomy technician. I studied the theory and practiced the different kinds of procedures that a phlebotomist needs to know in order to provide the necessary blood for the exams that they decide to apply to the patients.

I did an externship at GCC Laboratories with 40 hours of training and 50 blood draws, and I have worked in grocery stores, so my custom service is well practiced and I'm capable of handling difficult situations with clients always in the best way.

The skills I have learned through my course are:

• Identify and prepare patients. 
• Well storage of specimens. 
• Excellent interaction with patients. 
•  Good at making the patient feels confident. 
• Performing venipuncture with butterfly and syringe method. 

Besides the externship, I have no professional experience in the medical field.

For 6 weeks (from 01-09/23 to 02/23/23) I studied a phlebotomy technician course in the Central Union Adult School at El Centro and graduated with 93 out of 100 and 95 out of 100 on the AMCA national exam. In order to pass, I had to do 50 blood draws with the supervision of experienced phlebotomy instructors.
