I have gone for two internships so far, as listed below:
- Internship at JCY HDD Technologies (July 2020 – Dec. 2020):
- Programming Panasonic and Keyence PLCs for automations.
- Developing graphical user interfaces using C++ and Python.
- Designing experimental automations using SOLIDWORKS.
- Designing electrical circuits for data collection.
- Automating data segregation and classification using machine learning models.
2. Internship at the Center of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (June 2018 – Aug. 2018):
- Training Convolutional Neural Network models for computer vision applications.
- Writing computer vision algorithms for object detection and classification.
- Working with TensorFlow and Keras frameworks.
- Designing electrical circuits for remote temperature monitoring.
- Implementing Node-Red (IoT platform) and MQTT protocols.
3. I also worked as a research assistant for some of my professors at my previous institute, the University of Technology Malaysia. My experience is for each project as a research assistant is described below:
- Developed an automated fault detection system for industrial grade electric motors. Analyzed vibration and current consumption data from motors and used them to train an LSTM autoencoder model to detect abnormalities.
- Developed a system to predict lightning strikes using Keras deep learning framework. Analyzed temperature, humidity and wind speed data. Used LSTM and other supervised models to forecast weather conditions. Applied K-Means clustering to classify lightning strikes.
- Designed an IoT-based moisture monitoring and precision irrigation system. Calibrating moisture sensors. Design electronic circuits with NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller for data monitoring and program using C. Collection and analysis of plant moisture data. Designed a controller for a motorized watering system. Implemented Google’s Firebase IoT platform. Developed an Android application for moisture monitoring.
