Leah Scott

Hi my name is Leah! I live in Buckingham, VA, and would like to offer help/aid with children in any way. After I graduated from high school, I became a substitute teacher in a primary school for a year.

Recently, I worked in a daycare supervising children from ages 3 months to 5 years. I am currently babysitting a three-year-old from time to time. I am very flexible with scheduling. I will soon be attending a community college to get me closer to mt dream of opening my own daycare.

I am skilled in time management, compassion, and attentive care.

My time as a substitute teacher gave me a lot of experience with young children. I've supervised and taught lessons to 15-20 children at a time, kept them safe in a classroom environment, and was able to keep young students engaged in the lessons and plans left by the teacher. (2024-2025)

I had attended my first year of college at Longwood University, and over the summer, I worked at the daycare on campus. The Andy Taylor Center is the daycare, and it provided me with a lot of experience. I worked there for a few months until recently, as I decided to leave and begin babysitting, which I have been doing since July. (2025-current)

I am currently working on attending a community college and majoring/getting a certificate in early childhood education or business!
