Sylvia Pedroza

I am a passionate early childhood educator with over ten years of experience nurturing preschool and pre-K learners through hands-on, play-based activities. I specialize in creating bilingual learning environments that build confidence, creativity, and a love of learning in every child. Along with teaching, I design original crafts and educational materials that encourage family engagement and cultural pride.

I enjoy collaborating with parents, sharing classroom ideas, and inspiring children to explore, imagine, and grow each day.

I have over ten years of experience working in early childhood education, specializing in preschool and pre-K programs. Most recently, I taught at the YMCA in Walla Walla, Washington, where I served as a Preschool Teacher Assistant and Spanish Lead Teacher. I developed bilingual, play-based lessons that encouraged creativity, emotional growth, and family participation.

My experience also includes designing hands-on learning materials, coordinating classroom events, and supporting social-emotional learning through daily routines and group activities. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University, where I am deepening my knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and classroom management. My studies emphasize inclusive teaching, family collaboration, and trauma-informed care in early learning settings. I also hold training in CPR, First Aid, and state-approved early learning standards required for Washington childcare professionals.
