My Skills have been built from the ground up. I started building cable infrastructures for PBX equipment in the late 80's and even worked for a brief time for an alarm company installing system components and conduit in Philadelphia and parts of southern New Jersey. I moved to New York in 1989 and was hired by Executone in Manhattan as a service technician.
Since then, I have worked for many interconnect companies installing and maintaining PBX and Key system equipment and peripherals. Convergence came and I was working for mostly carriers as a Sales engineer or central office technician. It was during this time that I learned the Cisco systems command line as I was installing customer access routers and multiplexers.
I have a wide range of experience and a unique set of skills that would serve any telecommunications department or company that might be searching for such a candidate for hire.
Remote access maintenance on SIP end devices. Carrier provisioning through DACS cross-connections. Fiber Optic Cable Splicing, multiplexer programming and build out of OC equipment and battery strings. Configuration of Cisco and Adtran routers and switches. Installation and repair of PBX and phone equipment. Installation of all cabling infrastructures, and a working knowledge of all BICSI standards. Excellent writing skills.
I spent 3 years in a Computer Science degree program at Pace University in NYC, before losing my financing. I finished with a 3.4 GPA but did not complete the degree. I went on to take the classes required at RIT. My life experience coupled with my military service have educated me far beyond what any college could have provided.
