Michael Keldsen

I am a high-school Spanish teacher with a degree in and passion for Equity work. I'm seeking part-time work in a craft brewery or as a bartender. I have experience in service jobs and my teaching experience has lent patience, excited tasking, listening and people skills. Inclusivity and sensitivity towards people in diverse communities, grounds my practice as a teacher and I'm sure I would carry that experience into the service industry as well.

I started my work experience in the service sector and spent six years in fast food and service roles, mastering kitchen and front of house roles like server and bartender. I also had experience as a manager at prominent fast food chains in college. After I attained my teaching license I have spent 15 years in the high-school classroom. On the side I have worked delivery and ride share jobs in the gig economy.

I am finishing a EdD (doctoral-level terminal degree) in DEI work through UC Denver as an educator. I also have a BA (Colorado Mesa) and MA (New Mexico State) in Spanish Linguistics, and have achieved advanced-level fluency in this language. Both my graduate degrees were attained while working full-time.
