Ambitious Adult on the Spectrum
Send a job offer directly to this candidate
My name is Nate Walker, and I am actively seeking a part-time position where I can continue building adult life skills, learning responsibility, and becoming a meaningful part of my community.
I am 20 years old and on the autism spectrum, and I take great pride in the effort I bring to everything I do. I am highly motivated, dependable, and someone who genuinely wants to work. When I am given clear direction and a task to complete, I focus, follow through, and meet expectations. Once I learn a job, I do it well and take ownership of it.
I have previous work experience at a grocery store, as well as volunteer experience with St. Michael’s, where I learned the importance of teamwork, consistency, and showing up ready to help. I work well alongside others, maintain a positive and happy mindset, and enjoy being productive. I am a natural go-getter who feels proud to contribute and achieve goals.
I am supported by a job coach through Holly Ridge, who assists me during the transition of learning a new role. This support helps ensure success, communication, and confidence as I grow into new responsibilities. My primary transportation is public transit, so my availability is structured around those schedules, but I am reliable and committed to the hours I agree to work.
My goal this month is simple but meaningful to me: to earn a job, continue growing, and take another step forward in my independence. I am eager for an employer who is willing to give me a chance—to see my ambition, my work ethic, and my genuine desire to succeed.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and consider my application. I would be grateful for the opportunity to contribute to your team and prove what I can do.
