Neema Mbonela

Licensed Associate Counselor with clinical experience providing individual and group therapy to adults from diverse backgrounds. I completed my clinical training at the Mental Health Association of Passaic County, where I worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients build practical coping skills and greater self-awareness. I also have experience with crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and safety planning in community mental health settings.

I am currently seeking opportunities in outpatient or group practice settings where I can continue developing as a clinician while working under supervision toward full licensure.
