I am a clinical pharmacist focused on providing HIV medication management services and asthma/COPD education to patients living within the greater Philadelphia area who are the highest utilizers of the health systems. My goal is to help patients reach their optimal health status and to keep them out of the hospital but at the same time to get our organization to where it needs to be quality-wise within our shared savings program. Some quality gaps that I focus on tightening are medication adherence measures and the asthma-medication-ratio.
Additionally, I have developed clinical programs to help us achieve those outcomes that involve both clinical pharmacist and pharmacy student interventions.
I have been the pharmacy manager at Absolute Care Pharmacy within the clinic for the past 5 and ½ years. Prior to that I was working at a 340b FQHC called Greater Philadelphia Health Action. My focus has always been on optimizing our workflows to best serve patients while also make things easier for our employees to perform their best work.
As part of my professional development, I have also precepted pharmacy students on rotation for the past two years, and so, teaching is what I incorporate into my daily routine.
I graduated from University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph's University) in 2013 with a PharmD and will have my MBA in Healthcare Management and Business Analytics by end of 2024 from Fitchburg State University.
My clinical certifications are AAHIVP (HIV Pharmacist), AE-C (asthma educator), and BCACP (Board Certified Ambulatory Care).
