I am a 17-year veteran teacher with over a year of licensed professional counseling experience, who desires to return to the school system. Over the last year, I decided to pursue my counseling skills for individuals and groups by working for a day treatment center with adults. My heart has been greatly touched in understanding the various traumas, challenges, and needs of people in our community during their adolescent years.
My skills include counseling skills, teamwork mentality, leadership, creativity, communication, dedication, quick-learner, Google Suite intermediate, Microsoft Suite intermediate, various school-based programs, and more. I will obtain my full LPC licensure in September of 2024.
I have taught and held leadership positions at various schools previously for 15 years in Katy ISD, including Cinco Ranch JH, Morton Ranch JH, and Morton Ranch High School, and one year in Houston ISD at FM Black Middle School as a Math teacher. In my last year in education, I was a part of the leadership team as Dean of Academic Progress at KIPP Generations High School in North Houston. I am looking to return to the education system with the new skills, knowledge, and experience that I have gained.
