I am a professor of philosophy and Interfaith Chair at University of Denver. I directed an interdisciplinary university center for 10 years including departmental chairing responsibilities, overseeing the funding of a new intercultural endowment and the funding and construction of a social action site. I have served as Faculty Senate president and ACE fellow.
I have strong interests in public philosophy, including ‘interfaith civics’ for which I have recently been awarded grants through the Mellon Foundation and AAC&U. I have also been active in local arts and culture organizing public salons, leading film talk backs, and performing philosophical comedy sets.
I hold a PhD in philosophy from The Ohio State University and an MA in philosophy from Columbia University.
