Selenne Hernandez

Currently, I work at LA Metro as a human resources assistant as part of the Talent Acquisition team. I am also part of USC's Masters of Applied Psychology Program (MAPP).

As a human resources assistant with LA Metro, I have worked on high-volume recruitments like bus operators, transit operator supervisors, service attendants, and varying levels of mechanics. I have utilized minimum qualifications to screen applications on Oracle. Additionally, I administer exams, facilitate grading written exams by department representatives, compile scores, and input results.

I also coordinate with our operations department to schedule performance tests and then certify passing candidates. Before beginning the hiring process all over again I also assist with the onboarding of new hires with our Talent Development team.

I graduated from California Baptist University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2021. I am currently enrolled at the University of Southern California where I am pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Psychology. My expected graduation date is Spring 2024.
