I made a career change several years ago and got back into healthcare, where my heart really resided. I have never regretted that choice once since then. I believe that first and foremost, I am my patients advocate and their voice when they cannot speak, or are just simply not heard. This fundamental belief has definitely ruffled feathers and made waves in my career but it is something I will never apologize for.

As passionate as I am about all of my patients, when the patient is a veteran, all bets are off! I am a granddaughter, daughter, aunt, and former spouse of a veteran. They are my tribe and I will not stop fighting and advocating for them as long as there is breath in my lungs.

I have served many roles in my career in the healthcare industry, from a HHA to an office manager. Hospice however, is my niche. Regardless of what role I fill, or the hat I wear in any role, I pull experience from all my previous roles in other fields and utilize them as needed.

You can definitely say I am a real “Jill of all trades!”
