My background started in Sewing school as a teenager, progressed to Dresser at The Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, then onto Ballet Dancer, Choreographer, Artistic Director/ Costume Designer for Ballet and Fashion shows. Currently working in professional theater as a Dresser, Stitcher, First Hand, Wardrobe Manager and Wedding Dress Salesperson. I also teach classical ballet at Allegro Ballet and partcipant in the Ecolution Fashion Shows for Earth Day.
I have been working in professional theater my entire adult life, especially Ballet Theater. I was Artistic Director of Southwest Ballet Company from 1992-2014 and have been recipient to grant proposals by ARAD, The Pittsburgh Foundation and Carnegie Renaissance. I was personally invited to The Juilliard School of Dance, as a teacher for a weeklong residency for teacher's of students accepted into The Juilliard and was a member of the SBA, Women in Business and Board Member of Carnegie Arts and Culture Task Force from 2008-2014.
I have many relevant educational experiences to list but a few were were my times as a child going to Sewing School in my hometown of Bethel Park, and as a dancer at The Conservatory of Point Park College. I also hold a PA. License in Cosmetology and have a lifelong passion for Fashion Design. My lifelong experiences equate to the body of works I've produced which is extensive.
Currently I work in professional theater as a Dresser, Stitcher, First Hand and Wardrobe Manager, but I was Artistic Director of a 501©3 Ballet Company for twenty two years, so I can produce almost any part of works needed in regards to theatrical productions. Costuming is my forte. Figuring our costume change tracks, unloading, repacking, organizing, delegating, sewing costumes, repairs, creating designs, pattern making, hat and millenary designs, hand stitching are all my abilities in regards to working on Costumes.
I also sell Wedding Dresses.
