Barman and waiter - Mount Edgecombe Country Club

I worked at Mount Edgecombe Country Club and gained experience in different departments. I mainly worked as a barman and waiter during events and normal daily operations. My responsibilities included serving drinks, assisting guests, and making sure customers received good service at all times.

During busy events, I often multitasked by working behind the bar while also helping with waitering. I also helped with setting up venues the night before events, such as arranging tables and chairs and preparing the venue according to the event requirements. In the kitchen, I assisted the chef with distributing food and desserts to ensure everything ran smoothly and on time.

Part of my role included cleaning duties like wiping cutlery and making sure all equipment was clean and ready for use. I worked closely with my team to make sure events ran smoothly before, during, and after. This experience helped me build strong teamwork, time management, multitasking, and customer service skills.
