As a finance intern at PG Group - Widney Transport Component (pty) ltd, I support the accounts receivable functions, ensuring robust credit control and efficient debt recovery. I process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures, perform financial transactions, and verify, classify, compute, post, and record accounts receivable data. I am responsible for ensuring all payments are accounted for and properly posted by verifying account ledgers.
I resolve clients' billing issues by verifying discrepancies and follow instructions regarding outstanding client accounts. Additionally, I generate financial statements and reports that detail the accounts receivable status, contributing to the overall financial health of the company. My role involves maintaining clear and effective communication with clients and branch managers, and I am committed to maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Credit Management (NQF 7) from Tshwane University of Technology, which I pursued after completing my National Diploma in Credit Management (NQF 6) at the same institution. Prior to that, I achieved my Matric (NQF 4) at Hoër Volkskool Heidelberg. My studies have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of credit control, financial policies, and debtor management, equipping me with the knowledge necessary to excel in the finance industry.
