About

Business Analyst | Process analysis | Digital Transformation & Modernization

I'm a bilingual (French/English) Business Analyst based in Canada, currently an IT Consultant with Groupe LGS, an IBM company. What sets my practice apart is how I handle requirements. I don't hand them off at sign-off. I own each requirement's integrity from elicitation through UAT, go-live, and early-life support, so what gets delivered is what the business actually needed.

I started out as a developer, and that technical foundation shapes how I work. I can talk architecture, APIs, and data with engineering teams, and I can translate that back into decisions business stakeholders can act on. That makes me especially effective on legacy modernization, where business rules are often buried in old code.

My approach comes down to four commitments: help elicit and uncover the right problem, create shared clarity across business and IT, and protect the business outcome all the way to production.

Experience

LGS, an IBM Company | Jun 2023 – Present

IT Consultant | Business Analysis — AI-enabled consultant profile management solution (2025)

Internal initiative using AI to standardize consultant profiles and accelerate public-sector RFP responses.

  • Framed the analysis from the bid team's perspective, reading across government tenders to identify the roles, skills, technologies, experience levels and selection criteria that decide outcomes.
  • Surfaced a consistent mismatch: tenders expect tasks framed to a defined pattern, deliverables produced and methodologies used — items consultant CVs often did not carry, or did not frame the way evaluators expected to read them.
  • Aligned stakeholders in validation workshops on how a profile is described and the rules by which a tender requirement and a consultant capability count as a match.
  • Created shared clarity by documenting the reference framework's direction, making a CV update a defined activity rather than an individual interpretation.
  • Contributed to supporting the framework's adoption by consultants (200+ profiles in scope for standardisation) by producing training and communication material; contributed to a ~50% reduction in the time taken to select and update CVs.

Tools & technologies: Functional analysis, business rules, reference data and taxonomies, AI tools, Microsoft 365, Agile/Scrum

LGS, an IBM Company

IT Consultant | Business Analysis | Software Developer — Modernisation of a large insurance platform

Migration of a legacy VB.NET insurance application used by 25,000+ agents and brokers to a cloud-native Azure web platform.

  • Framed and clarified 100+ user stories to align business needs, legacy system behaviours, acceptance criteria and development scope.
  • Surfaced a dependency on an unfinished API by tracing a story's functional behaviour through to the endpoints it would call; raised early, it triggered re-prioritisation and direct coordination with the owning team before a sprint was lost.
  • Ran a dedicated kick-off for every assigned story with the subject-matter expert or customer-side analyst who could answer for it, removing ambiguity before code rather than discovering it in testing.
  • Created shared clarity on legacy system interactions through flow and sequence diagrams, preserving the figures and responses returned to agents during product illustrations.
  • Protected delivery outcomes through API and microservice validation with Postman, functional traceability, UAT, and defect tracking through to resolution after go-live.
  • Maintained functional documentation as code (Markdown) to keep requirements, decisions and system behaviour consistent across delivery teams.

Tools & technologies: Azure, APIs, microservices, Postman, Azure DevOps, C#,.NET Core, SQL Server, Draw.io, GitHub, Agile/Scrum

Sécurité Électronique (SECEL) Sarl | 2017 – 2022

Business Analyst — Strategic IT master plan, Communauté Urbaine de Douala (Cameroon)

Four-year IT master plan covering applications, infrastructure, network, databases, security, governance and processes.

  • Prepared audit plans and coordinated engagement with approximately 80 stakeholders through interviews, questionnaires, direct observation and document analysis.
  • Analysed and validated the AS-IS models against what the fieldwork actually found, so the gap analysis measured the distance from the real current state rather than an idealised one.
  • Contributed to consolidating 100+ deliverables — framing notes, audit reports, execution plans and synthesis documents — into material an executive could decide from.
  • Documented approximately 100 strategic project recommendations, all retained by the organisation; the four-year roadmap was adopted and used to prioritise IT investment and launch modernisation work.

Tools & technologies: IT diagnostic and assessment, gap analysis, strategic roadmapping, IT governance, stakeholder management

Sécurité Électronique (SECEL) Sarl | 2017 – 2022

Business Analyst — School excellence awards management solution (2018)

Automation of a paper and Excel award process for a national NGO.

  • Framed the real problem through workshops, interviews, direct user observation and analysis of paper and Excel artefacts — finding the same student data held in several hand-updated files with no version control, which no one had raised as a problem.
  • Created shared clarity by translating eligibility rules, data sources, validation steps and ranking criteria into functional requirements, business rules and acceptance criteria traceable through to tests; modelled the business processes in UML.
  • Protected the outcome by structuring the functional and integration test plan and coordinating UAT end to end; diagnosed a reported defect as an uncaptured requirement for the generated PDF certificates and brought stakeholders together to scope the correction.
  • Supported go-live through the first live award cycle and traced a volume-related slowdown to the architecture rather than to usage, scoping it into a second project phase; trained three end users.
  • Reduced production of results and rankings from more than ten days to approximately two hours, with every eligible student's ranking traceable back to the inputs that produced it.

Tools & technologies: Elicitation, business rules, functional specifications, UML, requirements traceability, UAT coordination, C#, SQL Server, Agile/Scrum

Sécurité Électronique (SECEL) Sarl | 2017 – 2022

Business Analyst — ITIL 4 incident and change management realignment (2020)

Process optimisation across a multi-site support organisation where practised and documented processes had diverged.

  • Framed objectives, requirements and optimisation priorities in a requirements workshop with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Established the AS-IS from the process documents, identifying operational irritants, ITIL 4 compliance gaps, governance risks and standardisation opportunities.
  • Formulated more than ten improvement recommendations, all accepted by the client and translated into an optimisation roadmap.
  • Created shared clarity by modelling the TO-BE processes with explicit roles, steps, control points and monitoring indicators; target processes were approved without major modification and presented to the owners who would run them.

Tools & technologies: Business process analysis, AS-IS/TO-BE modelling, gap analysis, ITIL 4, IT governance, stakeholder validation
