I have spent 23 years in banking and customer service from 1998 to 2011 and very much enjoyed helping customers with a range of services and roles carried out during this time. I took a break in 2011 to spend some time with my son before he started school and then turned my attention to caring for my elderly parents.
I began at Alliance & Leicester as it was known back in 1988 on a YTS scheme, by November that year I had been offered full time employment. Initially I was a cashier dealing with cash and cheque transactions. By 1991 I was training to be a Mortgage Advisor, this was a role I found very fulfilling helping customers buy their dream homes.
In 1996 a new role was introduced into the company, Financial Advisor. This was a challenge I relished offering Legal and General investments and Life Insurance’s to our customers. I did eventually change to a part time cashiering role in 2006 as forward planning to start a family which I continued until 2011.
I have 7 GCSE’s which I achieved at Boston High School, a BTEC certificate in Business and Finance from Boston College and two professional qualifications from my time at Santander (Alliance & Leicester) Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and Certificate for Financial Advisors.
