Charlotte Manning

I am very interested in beginning my career in User Experience Research as it incorporates the analytics of visual perception through psychological analysis, a core component of my second Masters degree in Sign Language Linguistics. I believe I will make an excellent UX Researcher thanks to my ongoing passion for my studies and my natural affinity for data processing in addition to the following accomplishments:

•running a cognitive psychology quantitative experiment in an urban setting, analyzing and circulating subsequent results during my MSc dissertation

•coordinating with 9 members of Congress to write, direct, and circulate educational health disclaimers on social media channels

•volunteer experience designing websites and social media content targeting specific populations through American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the American Academy of Audiology, and a small business

• Experienced customer service and people skills
• Successfully worked with 9 members of Congress to circulate medical disclaimers
• Proven analytical/computational skills

I have two masters in Lingustics from top rated international schools (UCL & U of Edinburgh)

• My second masters was a quantitative investigation into auditory processing and subsequent adaptation rates for accurate compression, where I tested over 80 participants in 3 weeks to collect my data; I analysed and wrote results of the data, presenting raw statistics as well as processed data through SPSS and Matlab. 
• My MSc specialised in sign language linguistics, informing me how crucial visual communication is to overall communication. My background in sign language linguistics gives me extra insight into the modes of communication, ensuring visual signals are optimised.
