My name is Devonte, but most people just call me Vonte. I started going to school in August 2022, and I just finished my bachelor’s degree in August 2025.
Before school, I served 11 years in the U.S. Army. My job in the military was a 25U, which means I worked as a Signal Support Specialist. After leaving the Army, I kept going in the IT field. I first got a job as an IT Help Desk Technician, and then I moved up to become a Network Administrator. This is one of my first experiences working on the civilian side of IT, and it’s been a great learning experience. I am currently a GS employee working at the USAFA as an System Administrator/ Project Manager.
After getting my bachelor’s in Networking and Information Technologies, I decided to keep going and start my master’s degree in Information Technology. My goal is to grow my skills, advance in my career, and eventually find a home career wise.
