Jade Giuga

I am a senior at SUNY Oswego studying psychology and business administration. My line of work centers around grant-funded research in the realm of healthy parenting and secure attachment bonds. I have a year of experience in administrative activities, but have the academic experience to support me in a clinical position as well. I am a highly empathetic individual with a high-energy work ethic looking for the perfect way to channel these qualities!

SUNY Oswego – SUNY Research Foundation (Oswego, NY, 13126)

Project Assistant under Dr. Dykas, Developmental Psychologist and Professor (January 2022 – present)

• Through this position, I’ve learned about attachment theory and healthy parenting in great depth. We make use of the Circle of Security (C.O.S.) model in our line of work. In this role, I ensure security and flow throughout the process of offering C.O.S. parenting groups amongst various agencies throughout Central New York.

Front Desk Agent (May 2022-present)

• Although this role does not directly relate to mental health, it has allowed me to develop necessary skills for a position in the realm of mental health Some of these skills include detailed record-keeping, developing rapport and establishing relationships, being attentive to nonverbal language, attending to multiple tasks at one time, and ensuring legal ramifications are prevented.
