Sophia Valdez

I am a hardworking individual with a love for children. I am currently in college for a degree in secondary education with an an emphasis in math. I have worked on and off in the childcare field since I was 16. I bring along experiences from those positions regarding lesson creation, curriculum knowledge, social-emotional development and many more.

I like to keep a positive attitude in my day to day life, giving off the energy to do one’s best in every situation. I have two cats who I adore and spend lots of time playing with and spoiling.

In regard to childcare, I have worked with the YMCA, running their before and after school programs as well as summer camp and general day care. I have also worked with companies contracted through DCS to provide education for parents in an attempt to aid them in their parenting journey. I have years of experiences in managerial positions in the food industry as well.

I have my high school diploma and am currently working on obtaining my bachelors in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I am attending EMCC with intentions to transfer to ASU within the next year. Once my bachelors is complete, I intend to pursue my masters and doctorate in Mathematics.
