I am graduating from Saint Leo University May 2023, with a major in International Hospitality Management, a specialization in Event Management and a minor in Marketing. I consider myself to be an ambitious and hardworking individual who is not afraid to take on the tasks at hand. I have gained experience in various sectors of the hotel industry along with events, by working alongside a Venue Manager.
I am most interested in finding a work environment that is welcoming and strives for growth. I am very passionate about Event Planning and putting my creativity to use effectively. “Service comes from a manual, Hospitality comes from the Heart.” These words are what I believe, which pushes me to be strive to be the best I can be.
My most recent work experience was a Venue Intern position at Venue at the Block in Date City, Florida. Here, I shadow the venue manager in day to day tasks, along with assisting in set up and break down of events. I also was able to greet guests coming into the venue and assist where needed.
Another form of experience I've obtained is a hotel intern at the Baha mar hotel in the SLS brand, in Nassau, Bahamas. Here I worked within various departments such as Human Resources, Food & Beverage, Banquets & Events, Marketing & Front Desk. In these roles, I was able to shadow management and assist in day to day tasks through all the departments by serving guests, creating flyers, creating banquet orders and filing.
I am receiving my Bachelor's of Arts in International Hospitality Management with a specialization in Event Management and a Minor in Marketing.
