In my 21 years work experience I have worked for Sasol, Tongaat Huletts Sugar Ltd, Engen Petroleum, and FFS Refiners. My work experience includes working in Production, Process Engineering (Chemical), Sales Management, Marketing, New Business Development, Product Development and Supply Chain.
I was responsible for sales volumes, margins and expanding market share in the lubes, base oil and fuels in my recent work portfolio at FFS. I crafted and executed sales and marketing strategies by participating in trade shows and hosted customer seminars.
My business development experience includes establishing a new division for FFS base oil, leading and launching grease as a new product line for FFS. My technical knowledge of lubricants includes formulating base oil and additives, technical specifications, product applications etc. My commercial knowledge includes managing margins, pricing models and mechanisms etc. I have experience working with distributors of lubricants and base oil that includes Umongo, Protea , Stacor etc.
I have been on the forefront in creating and promoting greener lubricants that are formulated using an alternative base oil to the traditional high carbon footprint base oils. Since 2016 I have been a regular attendee of the ICIS African Base Oil Conference and was a member of the discussion panel during the 2019 Conference in Cape Town.
