About

My name is Aryaan Sabir, and I am an aspiring student who has completed his GCSEs and left highschool with the lasting legacy of being an all rounding accomplisher due to me taking pride in everything I did, whether that be a new extra curricular I added to my portfolio or ventured into a new skillset which I knew would aid me in my future endeavors when searching for a job that would satisfy my ambitious traits. Despite me being 17 years old, I have consistently strived to demonstrate the best of my persona which has fruitfully allowed me to develop into the best version of myself. Therefore, here are 3 of my prestigious strengths and an example of where I displayed them.

I have been considered excellent in my communication skills by both peers and teachers, from meeting and welcoming new people into a brand new situation to provide them with both support and guidance all the way to vocalizing strategies, whether that be aimed towards group settings or leading a task, I strive to complete to the best of my ability. Moving forward, I love keeping things organised which is why I became deputy project manager for several people during the term where the head prefects needed to be chosen, and although this might've seemed like a difficult feat for most, I was able to be proven successful as one of my clients had the second highest number of votes; which was all due to me organising and categorising the different factors that would gain the most amount of votes - deadlines, posters, meetings, I had it all under control. My third strength has to be remaining calm under pressure, which I believe is a valuable asset as if you are able to do that, you can confidently navigate stressful scenarios regardless of the odds.

Experience

Hotel Assistant - Castlefield Hotel

(2024-06 - 2024-06)

My time working at Castlefield Hotel shaped my experience in the professional field, mainly focusing on the customer service aspect. From upstating a polished demeanor at concierge all the way to handling segments of the restaurant, I was able to prove my skills of how I am excellent in managing my time as well as working under pressure. I really enjoyed this work experience week, which really highlighted the hospitality industry; hence, why I feel like my communication skills can really bridge into other fields of work as a strength.

Power Pack- Liverpool St. john’s Market - Liverpool St. john’s Market

(2023 - 2023)

Worked alongside a family member in our family-run store at St John’s Market, Liverpool, for several months in 2023. My role involved assisting customers, selling products, handling stock, organising displays, and maintaining a clean and welcoming shop environment. I developed strong communication and customer service skills by interacting with a wide range of customers daily.

I also gained experience working as part of a team, managing responsibilities during busy periods, and improving my confidence in a retail environment.

Sales Assistant - Clark’s - Trafford centre

I Worked as a Sales Assistant at Clarks in the Trafford Centre, where I gave my customers friendly, professional and helpful service in an efficient manner. As a Sales Assistant, I greeted the customers as they came in, ascertained their footwear needs and helped them find the right kind of shoes according to the styles they liked, sizes that suited them and occasions. While working with customers, I checked their sizes, took out requested footwear from the stock room and made sure that they got a chance to try out some options before making any purchase.

If there was no particular style or color or size of shoes available, I used my problem solving skills to make sure that a substitute could be found to satisfy their needs. Also, I gained knowledge about Clarks shoes, material used in them and their shoe care products, which enabled me to offer relevant advice to the customers. Furthermore, I helped the sales targets of the store in meeting through finding opportunities to offer complementary products to the customers along with explaining their use.

Customer Assistant - Morrisons

I worked as a Customer Assistant at Morrisons, offering my customers a polite and helpful service while contributing to the efficient operation of the store. I was responsible for answering customers’ questions, helping them find products, and making sure that their experience in the store is positive. Another one of my duties was to process online orders for grocery products by using a handheld device in order to find and choose the right products throughout the store.

It meant that I had to check the description of products, choose appropriate fresh produce, make sure that products were of high quality, and substitute those which were unavailable. When the order was ready, I used to pack the groceries carefully, separating items in case there was a need, so that they would not be damaged and the quality of the food was maintained. After that I made sure that orders were ready for picking up or delivery.

I worked productively to process all orders by the set deadline without any errors. Also, I supported the replenishment of the stock by making sure that all the shelves had enough products on them, that products were displayed properly, and that everything was nicely arranged.
