From a young child, about the age of 8 or 9 years old, my mother had been a childminder and she would have sometimes 1 to 3 children to look after. Feeding or changing a child or baby was something I would to whenever she was quite busy, it was something that I always enjoyed doing and had the natural knack/ability to do.
Then in my 20's I would help friends who would want someone to help to babysit their infant while they went out to an appointment or shopping or anything really and I was always happy to do so as I love babies and toddlers.
I mostly work in the office now and again, firstly as as administrator, admin assistant, receptionist and lately a customer service advisor.
I want to do apprenticeship in childcare, to get back in the field of looking after children again, but also to be a great role model for them, doing something that has meaning that will help children to progress in their early stages in life as well as being very rewarding for me.
