Experienced Manual QA Tester validating software functionality, identifying defects, and ensuring files, report, and applications, meet business and technical requirements. Skilled in manual testing, test case development, defect tracking, and functional testing, and regression testing. Quality Assurance Analyst at TEK Systems / NGLS (2018-01 – 2020-04)
Support Senior Level QA with New Client Implementations and Existing Client System Conversions for all Loans in the Lenders Client Portfolio for homeowners insurance tracking. Existing client conversions consisted of moving the client loans from one mainframe system to one centralized system that will house all NGLS clients. Responsible for testing within the mainframe system and ensuring the interface - inbound and outbound files - are transferred with zero errors.
Data accuracy by using DB2 and FileAid tools. Write test scripts for Functional test cases as well as Regression test cases based on Requirements provided by the Business Analyst. Work closely with the Business Analysts to ensure processes are working according to end-user expectations, and with Application Developers reviewing their Unit Test results prior to QA Testing.
Test scripts according to the QA written test plan. Log test execution results and any defects in HP ALM / Quality Center. In addition to implementations and conversions, worked on Production related break fixes and modifications to existing code as needed, and re-tested Defects as code was corrected by the Developer. Update and maintain traceability matrices to ensure test coverage.
Quality Assurance Analyst at State of Arizona - Department of Economic Security (2008-06 – 2013-05)
Responsibilities included reviewing and analyzing specifications to learn the business purpose, and testing new development, modifications to existing processes, and fixes. Established and maintained QA environments with test data.
Tested the online environment and executed batch jobs on the mainframe and manually tested web applications. Executed functional test scripts. Regression testing as needed to ensure existing processes were not affected by any bug fixes.
Created detail test plans and documented them with expected outcome and actual outcome. Extracted test data from the Data Warehouse using SQL and provided test data for Business Analysts and Programmers upon request, by copying data from the Production environment to the test region. Programmer Analyst for the design and implementation of software enhancements for the statewide automated Child Support system. Created programs using Natural to run a suite of production reports for a large, statewide user community. Major projects included a conversion of printed files to user-accessible data sets, leading to the reduction of paper-waste and promoting network access, modifications and maintenance to various Federal Reporting processes.
