Jason Burkeen

I am a highly skilled Ironworker with 15 years of hands-on experience constructing the structural frameworks of commercial buildings, bridges, and major infrastructure projects. Throughout my career, I’ve built a reputation for being reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player who can lead and adapt in high-pressure environments. Recently, I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, concentrating in Project Management.

This academic achievement reflects my commitment to continuous growth and my desire to transition into a new career path where I can combine my field experience with newly developed skills in planning, coordination, and process improvement. I’m now looking for an opportunity to bring my practical knowledge, leadership abilities, and fresh perspective into a project management or operations role where I can continue to make a meaningful impact.

I bring over two decades of hands-on experience across transportation, skilled trades, and warehouse operations. From 2001 to 2007, I worked as an over-the-road truck driver, safely transporting goods across long distances while maintaining tight delivery schedules and strong customer service standards. From 2007 to 2021, I built a successful career as an Ironworker, specializing in structural steel erection on commercial buildings and infrastructure projects.

In this role, I developed deep expertise in safety protocols, teamwork, and construction site coordination. Most recently, from 2022 to 2024, I worked at Amazon, gaining valuable experience in fast-paced warehouse operations, logistics, and process efficiency. This broad background has equipped me with a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a well-rounded skill set suited for roles in operations, logistics, or project management.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management with a concentration in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University. This program provided me with a strong foundation in business operations, supply chain management, and project planning, equipping me with the skills to lead teams, manage resources, and improve organizational efficiency.
