Ive been free from addiction and homelessness for 5 years while working in the Downtown Eastside giving back to the community as shelter support for 3 years, and presently in an Outreach position for the past 2+ years. Experienced building relationships, and supporting people in the shelters, and in the community facing multiple barriers, including homelessness, mental health, addictions, and poverty. Experience in harm reduction, knowledge and ongoing relationships with community and outside resources such as low income housing, government, and other social services.
Current First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Harm Reduction training, Naloxone training, Overdose Response training, WHIMIS
